High School Football America
Everyone expected Saturday night's battle of nationally-ranked Ohio high schools St. Xavier (#12 USA Today) and St. Ignatius (#22 USA Today) to be a defensive struggle because of St.X's rock-solid defense that was allowing just 7.5 points a game. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, that was the case in the first half with the Bombers leading the defending Division I champs 7-6, but the second half was a different story.
In the end, it was St. Ignatius standing tall with a 30-21 victory was the 23rd straight for the Wildcats.
